Climbing Shoes
Climbing shoes are not always needs when starting to climb but we do find as children become more experienced on the wall, climbing shoes can be very beneficial, allow them to progress with more complex climbing techniques. To start off with we recommend the Decathlon
SIMOND JUNIOR ROCK CLIMBING SHOES
As they are the most cost effective climbing shoe we have found, that go down to a small enough size.
We also love the look of if the wide toes on the Gripit from Sportiva. Many adults climbing shoes can squeeze the feet and especially toes, which is definitely not a good idea for feet that are still growing.
Full Body Harnesses
Currently our classes are bouldering only so you do not need a harness, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get your little ones on a rope.

Chalk bags
Not all children want or need to use chalk when they climb but they can be handy especially when climbing in warm conditions. A chalk bag is generally used to keep loose chalk or chalk balls from spilling and getting everywhere.
